Number of moles can be calculayed by using the formula, n(no. of moles)= given mass of the substance ÷ molar mass of the substance

So in this case,

You must first find the molar mass of NaOH

Molar mass of NaOH = 23 + 16 + 1 = 40 g/mol

Using the above mentioned formula,

Number of moles in 30 grams of MaOH is

n= 30/40 = 0.75 moles of NaOH
