Glucose is incompletely broken down into ethyl alcohol in plants during anaerobic respiration.

• In the anaerobic respiration process, the biological energy is synthesized without the presence of atmospheric oxygen.

• Here, the fermentation process takes place in most of the cases where the available glucose molecules are partially broken down into ethyl alcohol molecules.

• In this process, the zymase enzyme plays a very vital role.

• This alcohol formation in the anaerobic respiration is also useful for the industrial scale alcohol production also.
