Formula to be used-"pythagoras thorem"(a²+b²=c²)

In the given Right angles triangles, we get-

  • In triangle STR,we have ST=12 and TR=16.So if we apply pythagoras theorem here, we get- ST²+TR²=SR²;;;; 12²+16²=20². Hence,SR=20.
  • In triangle STM, we have St=12 and TM=5.So applying the pythagorean theorem, we get- St²+tm²=SR²;;;; 12²+5²=13² Hence,SM=13.
