IV. Numericals.
1. A bus starts from location P and moves 200 km to reach location O in 3 hours. From the bus
takes another 3 hours to reach location R, which is 250 km away. What type of motion did the bus
take to travel from location P to location R?
2. You travelled a distance of 210 km by car and the trip lasted 3 hours and 12 minutes. What is the average speed of the car?
3. A car travels up the hill at a constant speed of 30 km hi and returns down the hill at a constant
speed of 60 km h. Calculate the average speed of the whole trip.
4. The reading on the odometer of a car at 8.40 am is 55,891 km. After travelling a certain distance,
the odometer shows 55,912 km at 8.50 am. Calculate the average speed of the car in kmh please send with full formula

Answer:

1.non uniform motion because the distance traveled with respect to time is different.

2. total distance=210 km=210000m

total time= 3 hours 12 minute= 11520 sec

therefore, average speed= total distance/total time taken = 210000/11520= 350/18 m/s =70kmph

3. speed(1)= 30kmph

speed(2)=60kmph

therefore average speed = (s1 + s2)÷2

=30+60/2

=45kmph

4. total distance = 55912-55891=21km =21000m

total time= 8:50-8:40 = 20 minutes =1200 sec

therefore average speed= total distance/total time

=21000/1200=175kmph
