ANSWER:

  • Required number = 23/12.

GIVEN:

  • Resultant number = 7/6
  • One number = -3/4.

TO FIND:

  • Number should be added to -3/4 to get 7/6.

SOLUTION:

Let the number which should be added be x.

 \implies \: x + ( \dfrac{ - 3}{4} ) =  \dfrac{7}{6} \\  \\  \implies \: x \:  =  \dfrac{7}{6}   +  \dfrac{3}{4}  \\  \\  \implies \: x \:   =  \dfrac{14 + 9}{12}  \\  \\  \implies \: x \:  =  \dfrac{23}{12}

Required number = 23/12.

NOTE:

  • Firstly we have to suppose some number which should be added/Subtracted be 'x' or any variable.
  • Then we will simplify according to the expression.
