Question

ive just been playing around with my nikon d3200 trying out different video settings and what not, and after importing them into final cut i've noticed most of the clips are really grainy. They are all shot in the 1080p 24p setting, at 1/50 shutter speed. All the shots were taken inside at night, so i had the aperture almost as wide as possible (around f/5) and the iso no higher than 800. The room was still pretty bright, but all of the light was artificial. From what ive read my guess is that its the lighting that is the problem here?
