iven that the area of a chess board is 64 sq. units, find its length. If the length of the chess board is reduced to half, will its area get reduced or increased and by how many times?​

Answer:

area of chess board = 64 sq. units

so length of board = √64= 8 units

if the length reduced to half i. e 8/2=4 units

so area will be 4^2= 16 sq. units

the area will get reduced to 1/4 times the original area.
