Jaanya forms all possible three digit numbers using 2,3,5 witout repetition. If a number is chosen in random from the numbers that are formed then what is the probability of choosing an even number.

Explanation:

shuffling three digits from 3 digits is = 3P3 = 6 Total possible numbers

Now,

keeping 2 at the last position to form even number,

total even numbers = 2P2 = 2

[2 is fixed now, it won't perticipate in shuffle. Only 3 & 5 will shuffle with each position]

Therefore, Probability of choosing even number=

2P2/3P3= 2/6= 1/3
