Jack and Jill’s ages add up to 30 gears. In 12 years time Jack will be twice as old as Jill is now. How old are Jack and Jill now?

Let Jack's age be x

Jill's age =30-x

after 12 years

jack' s age=2 (jill' s age)

x=2 (30-x)

x=60-2x

x+2x=60

3x=60

x=60/3

x=20

Jack's age=x=20

Jill's age=30-x=30-20=10
