Total amount jack paid = ?
Solution :
- Tax = 12%=40.80
12×(x/100) = 40.80
x = (40.80×100)/12
Suit original price = $340
- He also paid 8% duty charge = (8×340)/100
Duty charge = $27.2
- Total amount paid = Sales tax + original amount + duty charge
= 40.80 + 340 + 27.2 = $408
Total amount paid by jack is $408
