Has Jack brought an interesting book from the library?(Question).
Rules for changing statement into question-
A phrase that informs us of something is called a statement. One way to make it sound more question-like is to start the sentence with do, does, or did.
- Look through the sentence for a supporting verb-The auxiliary verbs have, has, and had are frequently used. Additionally, helpful verbs are "should," "would," "could," "may," and "will." Reread the statement to see if any supporting verbs can be found.
- To construct a question, move the supporting verb to the beginning of the sentence.
- The other words should remain in the same spot and be written exactly as they are in the statement. Your remark will become a question as a result.
- If a sentence has more than one helpful verb, use the first one. Sometimes a statement will explain an action using more than one assisting verb.
- You may use "will have taken" or "could have been," for example. Only move the first supporting verb to the front of the phrase in this instance. Leave the final few phrases in tact.
