Jack's weight :

1 \times  \frac{1}{4}  =  \frac{1 \times 4 + 1}{4}  =  \frac{5}{4}

Olivers' weight :

 - 3 \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{ - 3 \times 2 + 1}{2}  =  \frac{ - 5}{2}

Nate's weight:

 - 2 \frac{1}{4}  =  \frac{ - 2 \times 4 + 1}{4}  =  \frac{ - 7}{4}

LCM = 4

 \frac{ - 5 \times 2}{2 \times 2}  =  \frac{ - 10}{4}

Comparison:

  \frac{ - 10}{4} <  \frac{ - 7}{4}  <  \frac{5}{4}

So arrange it as Jake, Nate and Oliver.
