jagadeesh used 4 by 6 meters of a cloth for stiching the top,while he used 3 by 5 meters of a cloth for stiching the bottom. which among the two required less cloth. this is a word problem question . please give step by step answers​

Cloth required to make 1 shirt = 1 metre 80 cm

1m = 100 cm

Cloth required to make 1 shirt = 100 + 80 = 180 cm

Also ,

Total amount of cloth available = 40 metres = 4000 cm

No: of shirts that can be stitched = Total amount of cloth available / amount of cloth

= 4000 / 180

= 22.22

= 22 shirts [ approx. ]

= 3960 cm
