Jagan wanted to make a design on one of the walls of his room. It is a rectangular shape of length 3m and breadth 2m with a circle of radius 1m at the centre. He planned to fix golden tape on the boundary of the rectangular design and to give yellow colour for the circle and red colour to the rest of the area inside the rectangle.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Total area of wall : 2 x 3 = 5m2

Area of circle : \pi r^{2} = 3.14 x 1 Square
= 3.14m2

Area remaining on wall = 5 - 3.14 = 1.86m2
