The cadets with 'C' certificate are exempted from CDS examination conducted by UPSC. But for this, the cadet must have 'A' or 'B' grade in 'C' certificate.
C certificate in Army wing :- can apply for army only
C certificate in Air wing :- can apply for both airforce and army
C certificate in Naval wing :- can apply for navy and army.
With Army wing certificate, you are entitled 20–25 reserved vacancies each course of IMA irrespective of your position in merit list. Similar for AFA and INA too.
Under NCC Special Entry, you will not be required to write CDS exam and will directly be called for the SSB for all three forces depending upon the wing of NCC you were trained in i.e. Army Navy or Airforce wing.
