Given: Investment ratio of Jamal and Yusaf = 4:5

            profit sharing ratio of Jamal and Yusaf = 4:5

           profit of Jamal= 24,000

To find: profit of Yusaf

Solution: Let total investment be "x"

                Given the  ratio of investment = 4:5

                 Given the ratio of profit sharing is same , that is = 4;5

                  Sum of the ratio = 4+5

                                              = 9

                Required , profit of Yusaf

                Given profit of Jamal=24,000

                so, profit of Jamal = 4/9 * x = 24,000 (sum of the ratio = 9)

                                                x=9*24,000/4

                Therefore , total investment , x = 6000*9=54000

                 Therefore , profit of Yusaf =  5/9*54000

                                                             = 30,000

             Hence , the profit of Yusaf is 30,000 .

Profit made by Yusuf is 30,000.

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio of Investment between Jamal and Yusaf is 4:5

Share of profit = 4:5

Jamal's share of profit = 24,000

Yusaf's share of profit = ??

Solution :

  • Investment ratio = 4:5
  • Share of profit = 4:5

Let,

  • Jamal's share of profit = 4x
  • Yusaf's share of profit = 5x

Jamal's share of profit = 24,000

4x = 24,000

x = 24,000/4

x = 6,000

Yusaf's share of profit = 5x

= 5 (6,000)

= 30,000

Yusaf's share of profit = 30,000

Therefore, profit made by Yusuf is 30,000.
