Part a.
Let the profit for one hour be x
Katherine earned 1100 more than Liam. that means-
25x - 15x = 1100
10x = 1100
x = 110
so James earned 110 into 10 = 1100 that week.
total profit of that week = 10x +25x +15x = 50x = 50 into 110 = 5500
Part b.
Let the profit for one hour be x
James earned 750 less than Liam. that means -
15x - 10x = 750
5x = 750
x = 150
Katherine's share = 25 into 150 = 3750
total profit = 10x +25x+15x = 50 into 150 = 7500
