He changes £900 into dollars.

(a) How many dollars should he get?

No of dollars are in 1st case is 1530 dollars (rate of dollars per £ × no of dollar) and in second case is 94.11(divide rate of dollar per£)

Amount of $ he get = Rate of dollar × No.of £

Amount = 1.70 × 900

Amount = $1530

Amount of £ he get = Amount of dollars / Rate

Amount = 160/1.7

Amount = 94.11 £

Amount = 94£ 11 penny
