Jamie can paint 6 rooms of her house with half a litre of paint.

• Quantity of paint that Jamie has = 3 litres

Quantity of paint required to paint each room = 1 / 2 litre = 0.5 litre

• Number of rooms that can be painted by Jamie = Total quantity of paint present with Jamie / Quantity of paint required to paint each room

=> Number of rooms that can be painted by Jamie = 3 litres / 0.5 litres

= 30 / 5

= 6

∴  6 rooms can be painted by Jamie.
