Jan Dhan Yojana is a government initiative taken by the Indian government to empower the rural section of the country financially. It translates to the People’s Wealth Scheme and aims to enable the poor sector of the society to save money in bank accounts. This initiative is a great scheme which will help in making the citizens of our country aware of banking and other saving options. Furthermore, it was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28th August 2014. This scheme will help the poor people of rural areas greatly to get equal opportunities.
