Given  : height = 12 cm

base = 18 cm

To find : area of each new parallelogram.

Explanation:

since ,she cuts the fabric into four equal parallelogram by cutting the parallel sides through its mid points.

thus ,

the base = \frac{18}{2} = 9 cm

height = \frac{12}{2}= 6 cm

then

area of each parallelogram is = base × height

area of each parallelogram = 9×6

area of each parallelogram = 54 cm²

Alternative method :

You can find the area of the parallelogram and divide  it by 4  it will give you the area of each parallelogram that has been cut

hence , the area of each parallelogram = 54 cm²
