Answer:

1800 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Jane is going to complete one full perimeter long walk.

Perimeter of rectangle is = 2*(a+b), where a and b are the sides of the rectangle.

So 2*(200 yards+300 feet)=400 yards+600 feet

Since 3 feet = 1 yard the above will change as follows:

400 yards +600 yards=3*400 feet +600 feet= 1800 feet

Jane will cover a distance of 1800 feet while walking along the edges of the rectangular park.

Given :

Length of the park = 200 yards

Width of the park = 300 feet

To Find :

The perimeter of the park

Solution :

Here, we need to find the distance walked by Jane. Jane walks once around the edges of the rectangular park. Thus, the distance walked will be equal to the perimeter of the park.

The Perimeter of a Rectangle (P) with length "L" and width "W" is formulated as :

                    P = 2(L+W)

We need to convert both Lenght and Width to a single unit. Converting Yards to Feet according to the relation: 1 Yard = 3 Feets

L = 200 Yards

   = 200 * 3 Feet

    = 600 Feet

W = 300 Feet

Applying the formula of Perimeter :

                  P = 2 ( 600 + 300 )

                      = 2 * 900

                      = 1800 Feet

Hence, Jane will walk 1800 feet covering the edges.
