answer : train because it has a greater speed compared to the car and it travels for the same amount of time,so train will cover greater distance

This question tries to compare speeds and distance covered within a given time .

The following formula is relevant:

Speed = Distance/Time and therefore ;

Distance = Time × Speed

We can calculate the distance covered by both the train and Jane separately.

Distance covered by the train is as follows :

Distance = 35 × 2 = 70 miles

The distance covered by Jane in 2 hours is as follows :

Distance = 30 × 2 = 60 miles

From the calculations above we see that the train covers a larger distance at the same time.

This is because it is travelling at a greater speed than the car.
