Given:

Gross Pay = $750

OASDI = $31

Medicare = $10

Income Tax = $14

To Find:

Her net pay

Solution

Find her total deductibles:

Total deductibles = OASDI + Medicare + Income Tax

Total deductibles = 31 + 10 + 14

Total deductibles = $55

Find her net pay:

Net pay = Gross Pay - deductible

Net pay = 750 - 55

Net pay = $695

Answer: Her net pay is $695

Given :

The gross pay amount of Janet = A = $750

The OASDI deduction = x = $31

The medicare charge = y = $10

The income tax charge = z = $14

To Find :

The net pay amount of Janet's

Solution :

∵   gross pay amount of Janet = A = $750

Let The net pay  amount of Janet's = $B

And

Net deduction amount =  OASDI deduction + medicare charge  +  income tax charge

Or,  Net deduction amount =  x + y + z

or,  Net deduction amount = $31 + $10 + $14

∴   Net deduction amount = $55

Now,

The net pay  amount of Janet's =  gross pay amount of Janet -  Net deduction amount

i.e  B = $A - $55

Or, B = $750 - $55

∴    B = $695

So, The net pay amount of Janet's =  B = $695

Hence,  The net pay amount of Janet's is $695  . Answer
