Jar A contains a red-brown gas and Jar B contains a colourless gas. A glass plate placed

between them separates the two gas jars. What will happen when the glass plate between

the two jars is pulled away? What name is given to the phenomenon, which takes place?

Answer:

the following gases are phosphorous and hydrogen respectively.  the reaction between the two is most likely going to be an exothermic and combination reaction.  The phenomenon is a chemical reaction since it forms a substance unlike its reactants.

I hope this helps you . . . please comment if further doubt.
