Money spent on food =  \sf { \frac{1}{4} \:  of \: 8400 }

      \tt:\implies{} \sf {= ( \frac{1}{4}  \times 8400) \:  = 2100}

Money spent on rent =  \sf {\frac{1}{7}  \: of \: 8400}

      \tt:\implies{}\sf {= ( \frac{1}{7}  \times 8400) \:  = 2100}

Remaining money = \sf {8400-2100-1200}

     \tt:\implies{}\sf {=5100}

Money spent on the children = \sf { \frac{1}{3}  \: of \: 5100}

     \tt:\implies{} \sf {  = ( \frac{1}{3} \times 5100 ) = 1700}

Total money spent =  \sf {2100+1200+1700}

     \tt:\implies{}\sf {= ₹5000}

Money left with him =  \sf {8400- 5000}

\bf{\underline{\underline \blue{Solution:-}}}

\sf\underline{\red{\:\:\: Given:-\:\:\:}}

Jasbir's monthly salary is 9600. He spends \sf {\dfrac{1}{4} }

of his salary on food and out of the remaining, he spends

on rent and \sf {\dfrac{1}{6} }

on education of his children.

\sf\underline{\red{\:\:\: Need\:To\: Find:-\:\:\:}}

  • How much does he spend on each part?
  • How much money is left with him?

\bf{\underline{\underline \blue{Explanation:-}}}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money \:spent \:on\: food = \dfrac{1}{4}\: of \:Rs. \:9600} \\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money\: spent \:on \:food = Rs. \bigg(\dfrac{1}{4} \times 9600\bigg) } \\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money\: spent \:on \:food = Rs.\: 2400} \\\\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Remaining \:money \:with \:him = Rs. \:9600 - Rs. \:2400} \\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Remaining \:money \:with \:him = Rs. \:7200} \\\\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money \:spent \:on\: rent = \dfrac{1}{5} \:of \:Rs. 7200} \\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money\: spent \:on \:rent = Rs. \bigg(\frac{1}{5} \times 7200\bigg) } \\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money \:spent \:on\: rent = Rs. \:1440} \\\\ \end{gathered}

______

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money\: spent \:on \:education \:of \:children = \dfrac{1}{6}\: of \:Rs.\: 7200} \\ \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\dashrightarrow \sf {Money\: spent \:on \:education \:of \:children = Rs. \bigg(\dfrac{1}{6} \times 7200\bigg) } \\ \end{gathered}
