Answer:

Actual price of rice sold= 800×3/4

= rs. 600

Loss on rice sold= 600×10/100

= Rs. 60

selling price of 3/4th rice is rs. 540

After selling 3/4th rice, the remaining portion of rice = 1- 3/4

=1/4

Actual price of rice sold = 800×1/4

= rs. 200

gain on rice sold = 10% ×200

= rs. 20

selling price of rice is rs. 220

selling price of the whole rice = rs. 540+220

= rs. 760

The loss on the sell of rice = rs. 40.
