Jasmeet is putting lace around a pillow cover, which is 40 cm long and 25 cm
broad. She has also designed a flower made of lace in one corner. Find the
total length of the lace required to make six pillow covers if the flower on
each pillow requires an extra 15 cm of lace.​

FINAL ANSWER:

total length of the lace required to make six pillow covers is 870 cm

GIVEN:

a pillow cover,

l = 40 cm

b = 25 cm

each pillow requires 15 cm extra

TO FIND:

Find the  total length of the lace required to make six pillow covers

FORMULA USED:

perimeter of rectangle =2(l + b)

SOLUTION:

∴ rope require to made 1 pillow cover lace

= 2(l + b)  + length of flower made in corner

= 2(40+25) + 15

= 2×65 + 15

= 130 + 15

= 145 cm

∴ lace require to make 6 pillow covers

= 6×145

= 870 cm
