Jasmin filled a tumbler with water and covered its mouth with
a piece of cardboard as shown in the diagram. She held the
tumbler in one hand and kept the cardboard pressed tightly
with the other hand. She then inverted the tumbler carefully.
What will she observe if she removes her hand from the
cardboard? Justify your answer.

a) The cardboard will stick to the mouth of the container instead of falling down because of the atmospheric pressure inside the container pulling in the cardboard.

b) The broad bottom of the camel's feet enable it to walk easily on sand because the pressure applied in very less. If the camel's had small and thin feet their feet would easily sink into the sand. This is because: The smaller the area, the greater the pressure; The greater the area, the lesser the pressure.

c) Sorry don't know the answer to:
