To find : total amount of pie Jasmine ate .

Given : Jasmine ate \frac{3}{4} of a pie in the morning and \frac{2}{9} of a pie in the evening.

Solution :

  • As per given data we know that Jasmine ate \frac{3}{4} of a pie in the morning and \frac{2}{9} of a pie in the evening. We have to find total amount of pie Jasmine ate .
  • Therefore ,to find total amount of pie Jasmine ate we add pie she ate in morning and evening .
  • Total amount of pie she ate  = pie ate in morning + pie ate in evening

                                                        = \frac{3}{4} +\frac{2}{9}

                                                        = \frac{27 + 8}{36} \\\\= \frac{35}{36} \\

Hence , Jasmine ate \frac{35}{36}  pie in all .
