Answer: Let Jatin’s money be = Rs. X  and Priya’s money = Rs. Y

Jatin and Priya have Rs. 41 altogether.

Then, X + Y = 41  …………………………. (1)

1/4 of Jatin’s money is Rs. 2 more than 1/7 of Priya’s money.

Then, X/4 – X/7 = 2

7 X – 4 Y = 2 x 28

7 X – 4 Y = 56 ……………………………. (2)

Multiply by 4 in equation (1),

4 X + 4 Y = 164 …………………………. (3)

Add equation (2) & (3),

7 X + 4 X – 4 Y + 4 Y = 164 + 56

11 X = 220

X = 220/11

X = 20

Put the value of X in equation (1),

Then, 20 + Y = 41

Y = 41 – 20

Y = Rs.21

Then, the Priya has money Rs. 21.

Hence,the answer is (3) Rs. 21.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Jatin’s money be = Rs. X  and Priya’s money = Rs. Y

Jatin and Priya have Rs. 41 altogether.

Then, X + Y = 41  …………………………. (1)

1/4 of Jatin’s money is Rs. 2 more than 1/7 of Priya’s money.

Then, X/4 – X/7 = 2

7 X – 4 Y = 2 x 28

7 X – 4 Y = 56 ……………………………. (2)

Multiply by 4 in equation (1),

4 X + 4 Y = 164 …………………………. (3)

Add equation (2) & (3),

7 X + 4 X – 4 Y + 4 Y = 164 + 56

11 X = 220

X = 220/11

X = 20

Put the value of X in equation (1),

Then, 20 + Y = 41

Y = 41 – 20

Y = Rs.21

Then, the Priya has money Rs. 21.

Hence,the answer is (3) Rs. 21.
