Area of the floor=
$3 \times 4 = 12$
Area of the one tile=
$.5 \times .5 = .25$
No. of tiles=12/0.25=48

= 0.5×0.5
=0.25
area of rectangle = l×b
=3×4. =12
no.of tiles required= area of rectangle÷ area of square
= 12/ 0.25
=48
