Jatin wants to cover the floor of a room 3 metre wide and 4 m long by square tiles if each sq tile is of side 0.5 m then find the number of tiles required to cover the floor of the room

Area of the floor=
3 \times 4 = 12
Area of the one tile=
.5 \times .5 = .25
No. of tiles=12/0.25=48

area of square= s×s
= 0.5×0.5
=0.25
area of rectangle = l×b
=3×4. =12
no.of tiles required= area of rectangle÷ area of square
= 12/ 0.25
=48
