Tourists cruising between Mangalore and Karwar often miss this attraction, as there’s not enough sign boards and awareness about Ottinene beach and viewpoint. Ottinene viewpoint is located at the edge of a small hill right next to Arabian Sea. River Sumana merges with the sea right below the viewpoint, offering a spectacular view. A few kilometres after crossing Byndoor town, watch out for a small signage that calls out ‘Kshitija Nisarga Dhama’―this is where you need to take a turn to enter Ottinene. Last few kilometres are not well paved, but is drivable.
