Javed was given \frac{3}{8} of a basket oranges. What fraction of oranges was left in the basket ?

\huge{\boxed{\color{orange}{\textsf{\textbf{\color{purple}{AnsWer:-}}}}}}

Fraction of oranges in the basket = \frac{1}{1}

Fraction of oranges Javed was given = \frac{3}{8}

Fraction of oranges left in the basket = Fraction of oranges in the basket - Fraction of oranges Javed was given

==> \frac{1}{1}-\frac{3}{8}

==> LCM of 1 and 8 is 8.

==> \frac{1×8}{1×8}=\frac{8}{8}

==> \frac{3×1}{8×1}=\frac{3}{8}

==> \frac{8-3}{8}

==> \frac{5}{8}

Therefore, \frac{5}{8} fraction of the oranges were left.
