Jay started work 3 years ago. His starting salary was one-third of Vijay's salary at that time. Each year since then Jay and Vijay have received a rise of 20% in their respective salary. What percentage (to the nearest percent) of Vijay's current salary is Jay's current salary?

Let Vijay's salary=X then it follows that Jay's salry+1/3X
After 3 years salary increased by 20% for each.
Then:for Vijay new salary=120/100×X=1.2X
For Jay new salary =120/100×1/3X=0.4X
Vejay's salary as a percentage of Jay's salary =1.2/0.4×100=300%
