was left in the car. How much petrol was consumed?

A car uses 30 litres of petrol to cover a distance of 375 Km

So, the car covers the distance in 1 liter =

30

375

=12.5 Km

Suppose that X liters will be needed to cover a distance of 1200 Km then,

X=

12.5

1200

=96 liters.
