Jayden chooses 2.5 watermelons at the grocery store. When he weighs the watermelons all at once, he discovers that the total weight is 6.5 pounds. If each watermelon is the same size, how much does each individual watermelon weigh?

Could someone help me in this one i don't understand it.

Given :-

  • Number of watermelon = 2.5
  • Total weight = 6.5 pounds

To Find :-

  • Weight of each watermelon

Solution :-

Here, we are given number of watermelons and total weight and also that thw weight of each watermelon is same and we are asked to find weight of each watermelon. So,

Weight of each watermelon = Total weight / Number of water

= 6.5 / 2.5

= 2.6

Hence, weight of each watermelon = 2.6 pounds.
