explanation:-velocity of particle is

V = ds/dt = 3t²-13t+9

= 3(t-1)(t-3)

Now , (t-1)(t-3) is positive when (t-1) and (t-3)both are positive or both are negative , i.e particle moves in positive direction when t< 1 or t>3

in interanal 1<t<3 position moves backward

so , distance travelled by particle in first 5sec = 4+4+20 = 28m

also displacement in first 5 sec = 20m
