Answer:

Explanation:

1. The monomers, 3-hydroxybutanoic acid and 3-hydroxypentanoic acid, are the monomers of PHBV.

Answer-1 :

★ Monomers of PHBV (Poly ß-hydroxy butyrate-co-ß-hydroxy valerate) are

  • 3-Hydroxybutanoic acid
  • 3-Hydroxypentanoic acid

Answer-2 :

★ Pure HNO₃ is colourless, however impure HNO₃ is yellow in colour due to soluble oxides of nitrogen and in the gaseous state it exists as a planar molecule.

★ It acts as a strong oxidising agent. Non-metals get converted into highest oxy acids by hot conc. HNO₃ and NO₂ gas is evolved.

  • S → H₂SO₄
  • I₂ → HIO₃
  • Sn → H₂SnO₃
  • P → H₃PO₄

Balanced chemical reaction :

I₂+10HNO₃ ➠ 2HIO₃+10NO₂+4H₂O

Cheers!
