A light is incident on a metallic surface. Graph between stopping potential Vs and 1/λ is shown in figure.
when the intensity of light is increased at given frequency then.....
solution : from photoelectric effect,
K_max = incident energy - work function
⇒eVs = hf - Φ
now Vs = hf/e - Φ/e
here it is clear that frequency of light remains constant so, graph between stopping potential and (1/λ) doesn't change when intensity of light is increased.
Therefore the correct option is (1) Graph doesn't change.
