The price of the chocolate is equal to Rs. 4.

The ratio of the coins returned by the shopkeeper is given by 50 paise : 1 rupee : 2 rupees = 4:2:1.

Total money returned by the shopkeeper = 4 × 0.5 + 2 × 1 + 1 × 2 = Rs. 6

Cost of the chocolate = 10 - 6 = Rs. 4

If we consider another ratio , eg - 8:4:2.

Total money returned by the shopkeeper = 8 × 0.5 + 4 × 1 + 2 × 2 = Rs. 12

This is not possible as the maximum possible amount is Rs. 10.
