Jennifer used : 2/7.

Remaining length of the ribbon = 10/21.

Total length of the ribbon in starting = Length of used ribbon + Remaining length of the ribbon .

Therefore,

Total length of the ribbon in starting =  2/7 +10/21

Therefore,  Jennifer start with 16/21 meter of ribbon

Let the ribbon length be x.

x -  \frac{2}{7}  =  \frac{10}{21}  \\ x =  \frac{10}{21}   +  \frac{2}{7}  \\ x =  \frac{10 + 6}{21}  \\ x =  \frac{16}{21}

So, she started with the ribbon of the length 16/21 metre.
