Given:

Jenny baked cupcakes for her 3 daughters and 2 sons.

If she baked 30 cookies only

To find:

How many cookies did her 3 daughters and 2 sons have?

Solution:

The total no. of cookies Jenny baked for her children = 30

No. of children Jenny have = 3 daughters + 2 sons = 5 children

Now,

No. of cookies Jenny's each of 3 daughters and 2 sons i.e., 5 children will have,

= \frac{Total \:no.\:of\:cookies}{No.\:of\:children}

= \frac{30}{5}

= \bold{6}

Thus, Jenny's 3 daughters and 2 sons will have 6 cookies each.
