Let x be the number of muffins.
Given, $2x = $1.40x + 120
2x - 1.40x = 120
0.6x = 120
x = 120/0.6
= 200.
Muffins she need to sell = 200
Hope this helps!

Solution :-
Let the number of muffins needed to sell in order to reach the break even point be 'x'
One time cost i.e. electricity to run the oven + Cost of making one muffin = $ 120 + $ 1.4x
Revenue generated per muffin is $ 2 = 2x
⇒ 120 + 1.4x = 2x
⇒ 120 = 2x - 1.4x
⇒ 120 = 0.6x
⇒ x = 120/0.6
⇒ x = 200
So, Jenny will have to sell 200 muffins each day to reach the break even point.
