Step-by-step explanation:

Jerin travels 5 km by foot, 10 km by metro and rest in bus.

Total distance from his house to school is 35km,

so here,

distance which jerin travel by bus is

5km+10km

15 km - 35km

=20km

We have to find the sum of percentages of the distance travelled by walking and by travelling in metro

so,

let the sum of percentages of the distance travelled by walking and by travelling in metro be x

=> 35 of x% = 15

=>35 * x/ 100 = 15

=> 35x/100 = 15

=>35x = 15*100

=> x= 15*100/35

= 300/7

= 42.9%
