Given - Number of containers - 2

Capacity of containers - 1 gallon and 5 quart respectively.

Find - Difference in capacity of two containers with respect to cups.

Solution - Capacity of first container = 1 gallon.

Capacity of second container = 5 quart.

Relating quart with gallons -

1 quart = 0.25 gallon

5 quart = 0.25*5 = 1.25 gallons

Capacity of 5 quart is 1.25 gallons.

The difference between capacity of two containers in gallons = 1.25 - 1 = 0.25.

Relating gallon to cups -

1 gallon = 16 cups

0.25 gallon = 4 cups.

Hence, the difference in the capacity of the two containers is 4 cups.
