How will you regain that friends trust? It's not a question of regaining it. It's a question of earning it. You have admittedly betrayed your friend. You have failed as a friend. Put yourself in your friends shoes. Why should your friend ever trust you again? Why should your friend even want to be friends with you anymore?

If you can answer those two questions then perhaps you have a chance of earning your friend’s trust again. And you should start with an apology.
