It is because both Mirchi and Marigold are grow in tropical and sub-tropical region having warm and humid climate and require Sandy loam soil.

Most importantly, the roots of mirchi plant is infected by pests like aphids, but are reduced due to marigold.

Marigold secretes a chemical called ‘Terthienyl’ which helps Mirchi plants from getting destroyed.
