In the short story 'The Summer of the Beautiful White Horse' by William Saroyan, John Byro was a happy man in the end. This is because his stolen horse which had been missing for more than a month had been safely returned to him. Moreover, the horse was much stronger and better-tempered than ever before. He brought the horse to the Garoghlanian family house to show the boys to show that they had saved their family honor and reputation by honestly returning the horse to its rightful owner. He was happy to be reunited with his horse and thanked God for the same.
