So practically during fever, the temperature of the whole body rises, the oral cavity is not an exception. The water content decreases in the buccul cavity resulting drying of mouth and dehydration in whole body. Due to drying the taste buds get effected the neuro-chemical reactions get blocked and thus taste of any food can't be felt.

Sometimes high antibiotic intake affects the  appetite thus the tasting mechanism also becomes slower and we feel like all food are tasteless which decreases the appetite further.
